The MYGuy story...
MYGuy Ltd was founded by Leon out of a life long passion for working with property. He started his foray into property maintenance at the age of 18 when he built a deck for his mother.
He was lucky enough to have a mate's builder dad to set him on the right track and ensure it was built the right way.
That deck still stands today.
Over the years he continued working on projects until he got serious with property developments 20 years ago in London.
Again, with the guidance of friends in the trade, he outfitted everything from bathrooms to kitchens, from the tiles up to the ceiling and everything in between.
Coming back to New Zealand in 2008 all his spare time was involved in running his property management business while holding down a full-time job.
In 2016 the grind of the 9-5 had to give, no longer wanting to work in the corporate industry he left that job and worked full time alongside builders while renovating his home in Westmere.
This was a two year project which was the catalyst for starting up MYGuy, as he saw the trouble people had getting those jobs done that builders were not interested in and the problems they faced having unreliable & unskilled handymen in their homes & businesses.
